mango pudding

last tuesday i made mango dessert with my friend... actually i didn't like mango but my friend told me that Mango Dessert Kedai Ling2 was very famous with its soft n delicious, so... we made it!!!.. btw, don't judge by its appearance but of its taste, it was as good as mango dessert kedai ling2... ^^

here's the recipe :

 mango mousse :

  • 2 medium to large ripe mangoes
  • 1 packet gelatine (1 tsp.)
  • 1/4 cup hot water
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup lime juice
  • pinch of salt
  • 2 eggs whites
  • Peel the mangoes, sliced the flesh off the seeds, and puree in an electric blender with the lime juice, being careful not to over -blend.
  • There will be 5 cup of puree.
  • Stir in the sugar.
  • Dissolve the gelatin in 1/4 cup hot water, cool, and stir into the mango puree.
  • Beat the egg whites with the salt until they stand in peaks, then mixture gently into the mango puree.
  • Pour into a big size serving dish, or into individual dishes, and chill in a freezer for 2 to 3 hours, or until set.

Mango pudding :

  • 2 medium to large ripe mangoes
  • 4 pack jelly (nutrijell or swallow)
  • 9 glass of water
  • 4 cup sugar
  • 700 ml low fat milk (diamond or indomilk)

Preparation

  1. Make sure your mangoes are ripe - the fruit should be bright orange or yellow and fairly soft. Scoop out the fruit, including around the stone. Place the fruit in a food processor or blender and blitz to create a smooth mango puree. Leave the mango in the processor/blender.
  2. In a medium saucepan, heat up the water with jelly, milk, sugar and mango puree until it reaches a rolling bowl. Remove from heat.
  3. Pour into dessert bowls or cups and place in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours. It may be served cold on its own or fruit and/or other toppings like condensed milk, yoghurt or vla can be added.
ITADAKIMASU!!!!... ( enjoy your meal )....
